DRiiBE  – Best City Backpack [Review] 

A city backpack is one of the essential travel accessories I always have on my trips. Even though my Osprey bag comes with a day pack, sometimes its size is not enough, so recently, I got an urban backpack specifically designed for travelers’ needs. Made from water-resistant nylon and recycled polyester (RPET), this city backpack has an expandable bottom, enabling it to become larger if needed. The maximum volume of the bag is 17 liters. Without expandable bottom, the pack is 39 cm (15.5 inches) in height, making it a perfect size for a carry-on urban backpack for traveling with low-budget airlines such as Wizzair or Ryanair. 

When expanded, it adds 25% extra volume, and its height reaches 50 cm (19.8 inches). The whole backpack weighs 900 gr or 1.98 lbs.

DRiiBE designed its urban backpack with travelers in mind, so it has well-thought-out and comfortable compartments. The bag has padded, solid shoulders and a back panel. 

Jacket or Yoga Mat Holder

From the outside, you first notice the different-colored front flap with zippers on both sides. The pocket is ideal for carrying a jacket, pullover, yoga mat, picnic mat, or bulky items. 

Alternatively, you can use this as a usual pocket to quickly access a book or tablet when using public transportation when traveling. 

2 Elastic Side Pockets

I absolutely love the idea of elastic side pockets for various water bottles or tumblers. It’s so comforting to know that almost any size bottle or tumbler will go there. 

4 Elastic Pockets on Both Shoulder Straps

Another excellent add-on every city backpack needs is the elastic pockets on shoulder straps. This is so handy when you need to put away sunglasses instead of holding them in your hands or have a transportation card ready in seconds. I wouldn’t advise putting valuable items, such as your credit/debit cards, in these pockets. 

Anti-Theft Pocket

We all know how stressful it is to walk in the streets when traveling and always be cautious of pickpockets and thieves. Luckily, DRiiBE has thought of that. They implemented an Anti-Theft Pocket on the back of the backpack, so it’s hidden from the outer eye. 

I typically carry my passport and travel wallet in this pocket and comfortable walk in the streets. 

Luggage Strap

On top of that anti-theft pocket is the luggage strap to mount your backpack to a rolling carry-on suitcase. I don’t travel with a suitcase, but if you do, that’s an easy way to roll everything together. 

2 Internal Pockets

Inside this city backpack, you’ll find a usual compartment and two internal pockets to store various things, such as a wallet, sunglasses, phone, external charger, and other smaller items you might carry. 

Separate Laptop Compartment
