Have you noticed how the way we work has undergone a massive transformation in the last not even a decade? The traditional office landscape and the daily grind of the nine-to-five have steadily given way to a dynamic and flexible working environment. Therefore, coworking spaces in Tbilisi have skyrocketed for the past few years. 

Tbilisi, a city steeped in history and culture, is becoming popular among digital nomads and freelancers who choose to make it their home for some time. (Read what foreigners wished they knew before living in Tbilisi)

The past few years have witnessed a profound shift in how individuals and businesses view work, with an increasing emphasis on freedom, collaboration, and flexibility. As the world grappled with unprecedented challenges, including the global pandemic, Tbilisi, like many other cities, was at the forefront of this transformation.

In this post, I discuss all the best coworking spaces in Tbilisi I have personally tested and worked from.

Coworking spaces in Tbilisi city center

Regus Freedom Square

Regus is an international chain providing serviced offices, coworking spaces, business lounges, and conference facilities. Their Freedom Square branch (accessible from 2 Leonidze Str.) offers a quiet area in an elegantly designed venue with comfortable furniture. Besides, it’s an excellent location for business setup purposes, in which the friendly staff of Regus is happy to help out.

The coworking space here is a common room with many tables to work from. You can use lockers to store something while leaving for lunch or a meeting. The area also has a shared kitchen with a good-quality coffee machine, fridge, vending machine, and a small box of snacks in the morning to nibble on while you enjoy a cup of coffee/tea.

However, if you require a designated space with storage and a personal desk, they can provide that too.  

The difference between monthly and membership packages is that you can use the space 24/7 every month. Membership holders can only use it when the reception is there, from 9 am to 6 pm.

Moreover, monthly packages, be they for coworking or office spaces, grant you a Golden Card to use at any coworking space of Regus, counting around 3,000 venues worldwide. 

And if you are a business traveler, one more benefit of the monthly package is that you can use special lounges at various airports. Regus works on a contract basis, and the longer the contract is, the cheaper it can be. 

Additionally, every last Friday of the month, they organize a casual networking event for all its members and office renters if you’d like to meet ex-pats or digital nomads.

Vera and Vake Neighborhoods

D Block 

D Block, a new coworking space in Tbilisi, is a cool shared workspace spot created by the folks at Adjara Group on the grounds of the Stamba Hotel. 

Spanning three floors, D Block is one of the most extensive coworking spaces in Tbilisi. It features all sorts of setups—offices, desks, big sofas, small armchairs, and lots of spots to get stuff done.

The reception is lavish and beautiful, with two giant chandeliers. And once you step inside, the first floor has an industrial and steampunk vibe with slightly dimmed light to create a cozy, homey atmosphere. The walls of this floor have bookshelves from floor to ceiling, adding a library-like feel to the space. 

On this floor, D Block has five meeting rooms (they plan on adding more), all in different sizes and interior designs. All of them have smart boards and equipment from Logitech company. 

There’s also a separate bar within the territory of the coworking space, enabling guests and members to order whatever they desire without going to the next-door Cafe Stamba. What makes this even more comfortable is that if you are holding a meeting in the meeting rooms, you can buzz in and order hot or cold beverages to be delivered during the session. It also adds a socializing touch among the members of the D Block. 

The second floor has a more office-like environment with more light, box offices, call boxes, and shared desks. There are big sofas and comfortable furniture if that’s where you like to work from. While the box offices are for small companies and startups, you can still use the shared workspace stations on this floor. 

This is where the members and day pass visitors can get free coffee, tea, and fruit-infused water during the day. The small kitchen has an espresso coffee machine from La Marzocco for you to prepare whatever type of coffee you’d like. And don’t worry if you need to learn how to use it; there’s always a staff member to teach and help you. The kitchen area also has tables for a comfortable lunch break. 

You can access the terrace leading to Stamba Hotel’s amphitheater within its courtyard from this floor. 

The ground floor is more tranquil, with towering plants and comfy furniture to sit, relax, and work peacefully. There are call boxes here, too, if you need one. In the future, based on the feedback from its members, D Block plans on turning this space into its cafeteria. 

Apart from the day pass, D Block has three other membership offers: Flex, Box, and After Hours. Flex is a monthly membership plan to snag any open desk/spot in the venue whenever you come. 

As mentioned earlier, small or medium-sized companies can rent nifty private offices called “Boxes.” They’re perfect for teams who like having their turf and want to keep the same spot daily.

For night owls, the D Block also offers a special package. On workdays, you can access any coworking spot from 7 pm to 9 am the next day, and on weekends, you can get a complete 24-hour working pass. 

A few aspects distinguishing D Block from other coworking spaces in Tbilisi are PO Box services and the ability to use/book meeting rooms for its membership owners. They also don’t provide fixed desks. Instead, you choose wherever you want to sit, whether you have a membership or work here for a day only. 

Everything is digitized within the D Block. Once you register at the reception, you get to log in details to the platform, where you pay for the membership, pay for the day pass, and open the doors of the space. There are no cards or keys. 

Flex and Box membership holders can also take advantage of the D Block’s Perks and Benefits, meaning there are discounts, promos, and offers from its partner spaces and venues. Collider 

One of the Collider branches is on Nino Ramishvili Street in the Vake district and is an excellent place if you are looking for Tbilisi coworking spaces in this area. They recently opened another branch in the Saburtalo area.

With a modern and industrial design adorned with various size plants and neon signs, Collider is a space for professionals looking for a coworking space in Tbilisi that stimulates professional growth by creating a coworking community.

The space is relatively ample, with two floors and a small courtyard with bin bags and palette tables. The adjacent building wall features a relatable mural with a person working on a laptop in a hoodie. 

On the first floor, you’ll find shared and personal tables. The latter has small lockers beside it to store your valuables. Although the chairs and tables are comfortable, two armchairs provide a more cozy and comfortable working environment. 

The in-house bar offers high-quality coffee/tea, sandwiches, and snacks at very reasonable prices. Alternatively, the coworking space also has a self-catering kitchen within the bar where you can bring your coffee and make it yourself or heat up lunch in the microwave. 

The second floor features tables more dedicated to businesses and small teams. If you need a meeting or a workshop, you can rent an hourly meeting room. Next to the meeting room, there’s a lounge/game room for you to relax during your breaks. 

The space also has a handful of lockers with a unique, essential one anyone can use to store any valuables despite the membership.

Collider aims to create a coworking community and organize different events for its members and non-members.

Network

If you’re searching for a coworking space in Tbilisi that combines style with functionality, Network in the upscale Vake district might be your choice. 

An industrial-style space with abundant natural light, greenery, and a touch of color with neon signs and some colorful walls and interior details is a great place for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and small organizations needing dedicated workspace. 

The Network offers a diversity of workspaces. There are private offices for those needing their dedicated space and communal work areas for those who thrive in a more open environment. If you need to host a meeting or presentation, they’ve got conference halls that are well-equipped and can accommodate various group sizes.

And if you’re always on calls, Network coworking also has small booths where you can chat without disturbing others.

Additionally, there’s a veranda that’s the perfect spot to catch a breath and recharge. If you’re in the mood for quiet downtime, there’s also a cozy reading nook with a bin bag. 

For those caffeine addicts (like most of us), the bar serves up delightful brews from Coffee Lab, one of the best coffee places in Tbilisi, and an assortment of soft drinks. And if you have a lunchbox, there’s a self-catering kitchen at your disposal.

If you need to print or scan something, the coworking space provides a printer/scanner for its members, sparing you the hassle of searching for a printing service. Plus, they have plenty of lockers to stash your stuff if you step out for a while, ensuring your belongings stay safe and secure.

Terminal on Khorava

Located in the former coworking space Vere Loft, Terminal on Khorava is one of the branches of the company chain. The other four are in Vake, Saburtalo, and Marjanishvili neighborhoods.

Like other coworking spaces in Tbilisi, the Terminal on Khorava offers plenty of room to work from the ground and the second floor. Additionally, they adjoined a former cafe on Tarkhnishvili Street, so that part of the venue is ideal for you if you want a bit of isolation.

Apart from shared desks, fixed tables, and meeting/conference rooms, the Terminal on Khorava has a terrace to enjoy a small break or lunch. Additionally, there is a bar to order freshly brewed coffee or buy various soft drinks. 

Note that coffee is not included in the memberships, but you can bring your takeaway beverage or water bottles. There’s a microwave if you’d like to bring your lunch and heat it. 

Like a few such spaces, Terminal on Khorava has a gaming zone if that’s how you relax after a busy working day. If you are into books or magazines, the venue has a small collection of them to keep you entertained for a while.

Vake Cowork

Recently opened coworking space in Tbilisi, Vake Cowork, is on the seventh floor of Pixel Business Center right on Chavchavadze Ave, very close to Mziuri Park. 

Boasting five office spaces, one call room, and one open-space room, Vake Cowork can accommodate plenty of people. With a separate kitchen equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, and fridge, there are all the necessary items to enjoy your lunch and/or a coffee break. 

Vake Cowork offers various packages depending on what you are looking for. You can rent a dedicated or flexible desk in an open space room or rent a desk in a shared office space. However, they also offer a daily pass if you want to check out for a day. And if you need to host a meeting, they have two conference rooms to rent in different capacities. 

The place was half-packed during my visit, and some people were on calls, but it felt very quiet despite that.

Marjanishvili area

Old Boys 

Old Boys is another ideal coworking space in Tbilisi and Chughureti neighborhood. The area offers digital nomads and freelancers extremely spacious rooms flooded with natural daylight, comfortable seating options, and a shared kitchen.

One of the standout features of Old Boys is its generous room sizes and large windows that welcome abundant natural light from almost floor-to-ceiling windows. Huge plants scattered across the space with a perfectly balanced color-palate interior also add charm and comfort to the venue. 

Recognizing that everyone has different preferences when it comes to working, Old Boys also has a common area equipped with cozy couches and sofas; this space is designed to cater to those who prefer working from more relaxed and informal seating arrangements.

The desks and chairs are comfortable, with outlets everywhere you need them. The tables are also quite big, so you won’t feel staffed even if you share them with other freelancers. 

Old Boys also has plenty of offices, meeting rooms, and conference halls for those who need a more private setting. 

Eating is not allowed at the desks or in any coworking space. Therefore, there’s another spacious kitchen with all the necessary equipment to enjoy your lunch break, including a microwave, a kettle, an espresso machine, etc. There’s also a coffee machine from the Georgian coffee brand MEAMA.

The Hub – Co Working Space & Private Offices 

Nestled in the Chughureti neighborhood, this considerable coworking spans two floors and offers several shared desks, 15 offices in total, meeting rooms, and event space. 

The industrial spaces on the first floor have big wooden shared desks with comfortable office chairs. The floor-to-ceiling windows also bring lots of daylight, and the place has a primarily office-like ambiance. 

Most of the offices are laid out on the basement floor. They are of different sizes and offer simple settings, giving the customer the creativity to adjust the space to their desire, hang whatever they want, put up shelves, and create the vibe they want for their office.

A separate spacious kitchen on the first floor has several chairs and tables to enjoy your lunch break. I think this is the most extensive kitchen I’ve seen among all the coworking spaces in Tbilisi I’ve visited. The fully equipped kitchen has a coffee machine, a microwave, a fridge, and all the cups and plates, to name a few. There is a smaller second kitchen on the ground floor close to the offices. 

Besides the desks, the venue has a few sofas and armchairs with coffee tables from which you can relax or work. 

The HUB offers several packages: monthly membership, where you choose to have a flex or fixed desk, and a drop-in that provides a day or a week pass.

Saburtalo neighborhood

Parking Co-work

Located at Tsintsadze Street, above the 8000 Vintages wine bar and shop, the Parking Co-work has quite ample space, natural light coming from oversized windows, an extensive terrace with plenty of seating areas, and even a ping-pong table for relaxation. 

As the name suggests, the space is designed as an industrial-feeling parking lot, with yellow arrow lines and big numbers on the columns dividing the area. 

There are plenty of long tables and space between the spots, so you don’t feel crammed with another person. The Internet is relatively fast and reliable, while every table has plenty of sockets to charge electronics. A printer is also available if you need to print something.  

If you want to work in the fresh air, the spacious terrace has several tables and comfy sofas. It is also partially covered to keep the direct sunlight out of the terrace and ensure you see your screen. 

The shared kitchen has everything you need for your lunch break, including utensils, cups, bowls, a kettle, a fridge, and a microwave to heat your meal. There’s also a coffee machine with relatively good coffee. 

Parking Co-work also has a private office and a meeting room. However, both are currently rented out as offices for companies.

They also have a different price list. You can come here for a day or a month, and the hourly rate starts from 10 GEL per hour. If you don’t want to commit to a month, they also offer a 10-day coworking pass.

During my visit, the coworking space was not crowded. A few people had business calls. Surprisingly, it didn’t feel disruptive, and I worked on what I had listed for that day.

Space Z

Located in the residential complex Jikia House, Space Z is a big open space coworking in Tbilisi well-lit by direct sunlight. The venue is a self-service office with no dedicated receptionist, mainly used by graphic designers, IT specialists, and entrepreneurs. However, the owner lives nearby and is there in a couple of minutes once you text him on their Facebook page.

Besides a shared space to work from, Space Z also has a fixed area to rent on a shared desk, meeting rooms for those who often have video calls, a conference room, and private offices. The venue also has one laptop in case anyone needs it. The price for a day pass starts at 10 GEL, making it one of the cheap coworking spaces in Tbilisi. 

Additionally, there is outdoor pallet furniture if you’d like to work from outside. The shared kitchen has a refrigerator, a decent coffee machine (costing 1 GEL per cup), a microwave, and a kettle for tea/coffee. You are welcome to bring your own, though.

Unlike many other coworking spaces in Tbilisi, Space Z has lots of things to do during your break time, including playing a mini-golf or board games, reading a book in the hammock, swinging on a swing (my favorite spot!), or browsing an in-house bookstore or a library of modern art books.

Vibe

Also located in the residential complex Jikia House, the Vibe is a relatively new addition to the coworking spaces in Tbilisi, offering a cozy and well-lit atmosphere for those who need a place to work from. 

The space is not big but offers plenty of seating options in its shared community layout, whether you like a typical office-like desk and a chair, a standing/bar table, or comfy armchairs and reading nooks. I was pleasantly surprised by the owner’s creativity in presenting so many choices to sit down and do whatever you need to do. 

The space has a homey vibe with floor-to-ceiling windows on its three sides and is decorated with bright yellow furniture, making the venue brighter. I especially loved sitting at the A-frame nook, where the sunrays from the window added a charming ambiance to my desk. 

The industrial ceiling has inspirational quotes from local and international public figures, which I think adds another unique touch to the place. 

The Vibe coworking also provides laptop stands if that’s how you like working, which I haven’t seen in other Tbilisi coworking spaces. Usually, people bring their own. 

A small cafe/reception also supplies various types of coffee, soft drinks, wine, snacks, and toast if you want something to drink or nibble on while working. 

One more thing that distinguishes Vibe from other coworking Tbilisi spots is that it also offers an hourly rate. At 3 GEL per hour, it’s perfect for those who only need an hour or two to work, while an 8-hour full-day pass is only 20 GEL. And if you need 24-hour access to the place, it costs only 30 GEL.

Regus Vazha Pshavela

Regus Vazha Pshavela is the second branch of an international company Regus I mentioned first in this post. This Tbilisi coworking space has plenty of areas to work from, comfortable and colorful chairs, and armchairs that add a charming touch to its modern and minimalist interior. 

Dedicated desks do have cubicle-like short walls to ensure a bit of privacy. And its one conference/meeting room can accommodate around 12 people.

Regus Vazha Pshavela has a kitchen with good quality coffee from the machine, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a separate fridge for soft drinks to buy, like any other coworking space in Tbilisi. Direct sunlight lights up the area, creating a cozy environment. It also has lockers if you’d need to store something.

KD4US Shared Co-working

KD4US stands for King David For Us and refers to a shared coworking space in the newly built King David Residential and Business Center. Located on the second floor of the building, KD4US is a spacious venue with many cubicle-like desks with short walls giving a bit of privacy. 

Similar to other venues, KD4US has conference and meeting rooms and office space to rent. Several lockers for storage and a shared kitchen with a refrigerator, kettle, and microwave to heat up your snack or lunch. There’s a buffet-style KD Cafe next door if you don’t want to bring your own lunch. 

Whenever you get tired and need a break, there’s a small relaxing lounge with puff chairs, a sofa, and a view of Tbilisi. 

Like other coworking spaces in Tbilisi, this one also offers dedicated or non-assigned desks to its members in different price ranges. It’s also great for companies or startups with few staff members. In addition, they offer discounted prices for students. 

With comfortable chairs and big windows lighting up the area, KD4US is a suitable venue for those looking for mid-range packages, flexibility in schedule, and space.

The members benefit from using a meeting and conference room for several hours, depending on your package. Note that Daily Pass doesn’t include any usual services, such as complimentary coffee/tea or printing several pages; however, you are welcome to bring your own coffee/tea to enjoy throughout the day.

Libraries in Tbilisi to work from 

Working from libraries is always a great option if you are not a fan of coworking spaces or your budget doesn’t let you buy the membership. I used to work in these libraries for some time, and they are an excellent alternative for budget-friendly digital nomads.

Mediatheka 

Mediatheka is a cultural and educational platform offering an extensive library of modern and classical books in Georgian and English, a quiet workspace, and computers. However, I noticed they had limited English language books when I went there. 

Currently, there are three branches of Metiatheka – one in Vake Park, the second in Varketili, and the third in Nadzaladevi. 

Mediatheka has two types of memberships that are valid in all branches. Card A costs 15 GEL for three months, while Card B is 20 GEL for one month but has additional benefits.

I have worked in Vake Park several times. There are no shared facilities to enjoy a cup of coffee or pre-packed lunch. They used to have a cafe upstairs, but it has been closed for some time now. I can’t say anything about the other branches, though. 

Also, as it was very close to the university, it was getting quite busy with students and noisy occasionally. I could still work with my headphones on, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Saakashvili Presidential Library

This is another library to check out, especially if you want a space FREE of charge. Located in a tranquil neighborhood behind the University of Georgia, this library gets quite a few people despite its location. Moreover, there are PLENTY English language books in all the fields and subjects that might interest you. 

A world-famous architect Jurgen Mayer designed the library, where bookshelves in the reading room repeat the style of the façade, making it one of the most modern library buildings in town.
